When Feeding Your Dogs Raw Meat, What Do You Place The Meat On?

I have been using towels, but find that they make the washing machine smell like meat even with bleach. What are other people using that feed raw?

~ When I first started with feeding raw meat meals (I still feed kibble too) I had the same question. I tried the outside thing, but they kept trying to bury some of it, or it would be left in the yard what was not finished or it would be eaten with a half of pound of dirt. Then I tried the towel also but I didn’t like having to constantly clean them.
Now, I found the easiest thing to do is put their dinner in their kennel. I bought all the dogs large kennels that are open throughout the day. At dinner time, I put the food in the kennel (some of it in a bowl if I have egg or organs) and I close the door. This way I know if they finished their meal, how much they ate, it is clean, their is no fighting over the food ( I have 11 dogs) and the kennel has plastic flooring that I can clean quick and easy. * I only feed this way for raw, kibble is out of a bowl in the kitchen* LOL.

Dirt, grass, cement, and treated wood.
My guys eat their food outside for that very reason!
Do you have any tile you can feed on? When I was in my apartment the dogs ate one at a time in the bathroom. (I friggin had CARPET in my kitchen! how STUPID is that!?!?!?)
You might be able to make a “tile place mat” for your dog spot for your dog. You know that peel and stick vinyl tile? Go get one of those foam poster boards and stick some of that on it. Should be light enough that you don’t have to lug it around and could be easily stores… Just spray a disinfectant and wipe it down after the pup’s done eating.
ETA: Have any of you who are suggesting dog bowls ever SEE a dog eat a whole raw chicken back!?!??! It Ain’t happening.
I mean you COULD cut it up into bite size swallowable peices – but you lose out on SOOO many of the dental benefits feeding large chunks that really need to be worked through provide.

I use a bed from petco. The one time I actually go to the petstore, It is a bedding made out of materials easily wiped off. If the weather allows, I feed outside, if not I feed on the mat.
I used to let them eat in their houses, but their beds soaked up the juice, so I threw that out and bought the water proof one. http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?f…
    This has the right material.

Towels? Absolutely not they would harbour bacteria. You use stainless steal bowls.
ETA: Yes I have my dog is fed raw and all of them eat Prey model from bowls and no I do not cut it up you just need the appropriate type of bowls
And for the special people commenting of you would eat raw…would you eat dog kibble! dogs are NOT humans are digestive systems are NOTHING alike.

I put it in a stainless steal dog bowl. Easy to clean with soap and water when it is needed. For preparing, use a cutting board and wash after. I like to prepare as many meal at a time as I can and freeze them.
