Will Feeding A Dog Raw Eggs Make His Coat Appear Shiny?

I’ve often heard that giving a dog a raw egg will make his coat appear to be healthy and shiny. Is this true, or is this just an “old wives tale”?
If it is true, then how many eggs per week should I give my dog?

~ The best thing for a dog and their coat is a high quality kibble such as these:

Or an all raw diet with raw meat and bones including eggs.
Just an egg by itself is not going to dog the dog any favors if you are feeding a low quality grocery store kibble with corn, low quality grains, soy etc.
I take in a lot of dogs that have spent their lives eating Alpo, Pedigree, Purina, etc and put them on Orijen, EVO or Innova and their coat completely changes and is shinny and healthy.

Egg certainly won’t hurt, but salmon oil is great for helping make a shiny and soft coat. I give vitamin E along with the salmon oil. Ask your vet for exact dosages for your particular dog.
