Hey, Should I Take My Dog Of Prey Model Raw Feeding?

Two of my dogs and two of my cats do great on it but the other dog as a problem with bone I think. She won’t eat very much, she’ll eat all the meat and organs but eats like 5% of the bone. I’m worried about the calcium so I was thinking about putting her back on BARF so she gets the calcium.
What do you reckon?

I feed something between BARF and prey model. If your dog was mine, I might consider getting a small grinder that could do wimpy bones, and grinding something REALLY bony for her (chicken frames for example) and using that for maybe 20% of her meals… this should put her bone intake somewhere around 10%, even if she leaves the bone from everything else you feed her.
I also would suggest a really good examination by a veterinary dentist to make sure there are not any hidden dental issues, if you haven’t done this already.

Although I am a prey model feeder and prefer it that way from what I have read, I also know of other dogs (3 families in particular) whose dogs are superb on BARF.
I would say give it a try and see how she goes. It’s not as if you are going back to a kibble – that is what they find really hard to do once established on raw of any kind.
