I was always been told that raw feeding is probably the best way to go if you do it the right way. Raw feeding is good because you know EXACTLY what your dog is eating rather than having to worry about “secret” ingredients in dry food. I’m not saying dry food is bad b/c i myself i’m feeding dry food to my new pup but want to mix it with raw. anyways to it’s best to feed a type of meat for a WHOLE week, then switch to a different one the following week and so on till yor pup gets used to them different types of meats, then you can mix the meat.
I’m a new puppy owner but i’m learning this as well. I came across a very helpful site which i will share with you since it’s all about raw feeding and how to do it right…so here’s the site: http://www.dogguide.net/raw-diet-basics.…
There’s lots of information out there but just make sure you double or triple check and compare with other source before doing anything b/c not everything online is true.
The best thing you can possibly to for your puppy is wean him onto dry food. Mix it with a little puppy milk and the meat, but eating the raw meat, even for a dog can have possibilities of causing problems.
Find a good mix of puppy food to switch him to.
Hope this helps
