With pups I tend to add a new food every few days - this way they get a broad palate and don't seem to be as 'set' on one type of food.
How old is the pup and how big will he be at adulthood? I usually feed three times a day until the pup is about 4 months old. And by this age they are eating the same amount that they get as an adult dog.
I have weaned a litter of pups straight to raw 'frankenprey' and feed my adult dogs and cats this way too. I cannot imagine ever going back to commercial foods.

if your puppy seems to be adjusting to the diet, then you can start introducing other meats and organs.
Increase the amount of food as his size increases.
I have been feeding raw for 3 or 4 weeks now and Im pleased with it.
