After you become establish with raw feeding you can feed your dogs at a small cost, however if you want to buy at the best prices, you will need an extra freezer a food processor and the use of a car.
Butcher often have a glut of chicken wings and bones that they are going to throw out, they will either give them to you or sell them at a very low price.
I think that raw feeding is the healthiest way of feeding a dog, unfortunately my dogs simply hated this diet. I used to get a large variety of cheap stuff from the butchers, bag it and freeze it. At the outset I think that you should shop for small amounts which will be more expensive and buy an extra freezer when you know that your dogs like a raw diet.
You will need to study raw diets, you cannot just give your dogs raw food and hope for the best, the balance is very important. Ian Billinghurst has written several books on this. Google his name for info or Google Dogs/Raw diets.

I just had to stop feeding my dog a raw diet due to the expense of it. I was shopping sales, grinding my own meat, and doing all I could to reduce costs, but it still cost about $70 per month just for meat (with bones) to feed my 75 lb. labrador mix. That’s not even counting supplements like salmon oil at $35 per quart, natural vitamin E capsules at $20 per 100, eggs, extra organ meat, etc.
I really doubt you could feed your two dogs on the kind of budget you have. Maybe you could if you have access to free carcases from a farm or butcher shop, free meat and bone scraps from hunters, or free scrap from a restaurant.

I feed 150 pounds worth of dog for around $60 a month.
I try to stick around the $1 a pound range, some stuff is more some is less but it all averages to about $1 a pound.
You need to start looking for sales, stock up when there’s a sale on something. I visit the meat dept. everytime I’m at the store and grab whatever deals I find. Look for the reduced bin as well.
Talk to local butchers. Sometimes you can get them to save things for you, or they can order bulk items. My butcher will save stuff for a minimal fee. Last summer I got a couple hundred pounds of chicken feet for $20. If you’ve ever priced those online you’ll know I got a great deal on those.
I also post ads saying I’ll take freezer burned meats and offer 25 cents a pound for those. Freezer burned meats still have the nutrients, they just don’t taste great to us. The dogs don’t mind. I was able to score around 300 pounds of beef for $20 and half hour drive with my ad.
Its all about shopping around and finding good sources.
