Well, first off, Pedigree is at the bottom of the barrell as far as quality dog food.
Dry and canned dog foods usually contain inferior-quality proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, a variety of toxins, highly processed grains, chemical preservatives, allergens, and other questionable ingredients. Really, you just don’t know what all is in your dogs’ food. Even if you read the ingredients, things that are NOT listed are those ingredients but occur during processing (one in particular I’m thinking of is also a carcinogen).
Pros of raw — everything Rayven already said. =)
You WILL see the difference a raw diet makes in your dog.

Well, Pedigree is absolute crap. As another answerer said, bottom of the barrel. Royal Canin isn’t that great either. Orijen, however, is an excellent grain free dog food. Rayven pretty much summed up the benefits of feeding raw.
What raw offers beyond what all the high priced kibbles is pure raw enzymes and proteins. Cooking even good meats kills much of the nutritional value in them.
