If I decide to feed my dog a raw diet which I would like to do how do I know that when he’s grabbing the chicken with his paws then walking around on my floors that my daughter isn’t going to get e-coli. It is not an option to bath him every time i feed him. I can keep him in one area untill he’s finished I still would worry about what he gets on his paws. Would mopping my floors be good enough.?? Please help.
It would be best for you to crate train for feeding time so that your daughter doesn’t get any bacteria on her.
It’s easy, you just start feeding doggie in the crate and soon doggie will associate yummy food time with happy crate time. Easy Peasy! Your dogs gets to eat the diet nature intended him to eat and your daughter stays bacteria free!
I do not think it is a good idea to feed your dog raw meat, they can get sick for eating this meat. sometimes I give my cat and dog cooked chicken off the bone. I have never given them raw meat. I would mop your floors on a regular basis because of you having a baby, they put everything in their mouth.
I would suggest that u just rinse his feet off every time. that’s not too much of a trial when i have to do the same to get the mud off my dogs feet or u can feed him in a crate or back yard if u have one
Watch out for tape worms that he may get from eating raw meat.
Mopping the floors with a little clorex will be ok; but can you feed the dog in a crate or outside in the grass?
