I have a baby lovebird about 1 mth old. If I were to gv him carrot, do i need to cook it first or give it raw? How about other vegetables? How often and how much does he need to be fed in a day? I am still hand feeding him with baby food. And now, trying to introduce him to new food. He doesn’t seem to like mangoes though.

Congradulations on the new baby…Now lets talk food, think easy to digest..I used human baby food after the baby formula for birds. It’s texture will be familar to the baby.
When he gets a little older try..raw broocli, carrots (use a potatoe peeler), cooked pasta, cooked brown rice.
And when he/she is even older start them on pellets not seed.
Seed is like candy,,pellet is much better.
Also try millet at the same time you introduce the veggies
think their moms don’t cook first, so raw should be fine. they can be picky eaters, try different things. they like nuts.
