I don’t want to prepare it myself, I will buy the raw diet already prepared. My dog is on Wellness now, do I need to introduce gradually the raw food?
Also, this food change is an attempt to fix his gastric sensitivity. How should I wait before getting to the conclusion it is or it’s not working. Thanks!

Here is a group that I am a member of. It is completely free to join although you have to register. There is a wealth of information on this site. http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfe… There are many people very experienced in raw feeding and are happy to help you along the way.
I now prepare the food myself, but when I bought it, I used http://www.omaspride.com
Here are some others I found on a simple search http://www.blingo.com/search?q=raw+food+…
I started feeding raw for similar reasons. It could take up to 2 weeks to see an improvement (just as with kibble) but I saw a change in his stools within 2 days. It is important to remember that you have to do a complete change, you cannot switch back and forth between kibble and raw. In fact, I suggest getting the kibble out of the house on the day of the switch. (I donated it to a shelter) It does not need to be gradual, although you do need to have determined if he is allergic to any meat. It is suggested you start with chicken or turkey, so please make sure your dog isn’t allergic to those items first.
Best wishes to you!
edit to add: do NOT start off with organ meats or weight bearing bones, such as turkey legs. My dog did perfectly fine on Oma’s and the only reason I switched to making my own is because my local butcher grinds the food for us and I add veggies and eggs in myself. It is just a matter of convenience.
edit to add: I agree with the poster above that said you need to feed the right amount for your dog. I have an 80 lb pit/lab mix who gets 2.5 lbs a day. He is fed twice a day, 1.25 lbs each feeding and raw treats and raw meaty bones only. My friend’s 45 lb boxer gets 1.5 lbs a day, 3/4 lb each feeding, twice a day.
Be sure you know what amounts of types of meat/bone to be feeding. Also what percent of his body weight to feed daily. He may have some loose stool while at first getting used to raw but that is normal as it can be rich at first. Do not feed kibble in the same meal as they digest at different rates.
It depends on the kind of reaction the dog has but I would give it at least a week or two.
Depending on the size of the dog throw him a raw wing or thigh, or quarter and watch him eat up. All these ‘barf’ patties are crap and a gimmick. RAW is RAW and will always be RAW, not processed crap. Throw him a chicken wing and once a month some chicken gizzards and livers and all that crap, hence a happy dog. Less smell, less poop, shinier coat, cleaner teeth!
While feeding raw vs. typical dog food is a controversy, you can add a tea spoon (or more if you have a big dog) of plain yogurt in his dry food. This helps.
