I have a lab retriever.
She’s old, but not…shall we say…geriatric.
She’s been sick lately. Not infection kind of sick, but….unhealthy, you know? I went to college and nobody in my family would take her for walks or play with her. She’s been eating a lot of grass and her bowel movements, etc. aren’t regular. They also didn’t feed her correctly, just putting food in her bowl whenever they wanted instead of keeping her on a regular, monitored schedule.
Anyway, I just ate steak for dinner and it was a little rare. I was going to give her the ultra rare parts. Do you think that would mess her up?

Why not try boiled chicken and rice. But if you must, raw meat won’t hurt her. It would be no different than giving her a raw diet
I wouldn’t on older generic dogs. the spices like pepper and garlic salt and what ever else you put on it upsets there stomach. already he has problems with his stomach if he’s eating grass. dogs do this only when there stomachs are upset. wouldn’t hurt to take him in for a check up just to see if he has any tumors or what not. you want your dog comfortable right.
Heavens no by all means give it to her. And if you can give her a little “real” meat everyday, she will soon feel better. Rare steak is good for dogs and they crave protein. She will feel llike a million bucks after a few feeds of meat.
No, it will not. uncooked meat is dangerous to feed a dog and that is why it is only acceptable once in a while. But since it was at least cooked and she was not on a diet of uncooked meat she will be fine.
I doubt that it will hurt her, after all, they eat raw meat in the wild.
