Raw Food Diet For A Dog..?

I decided to try and switch my dogs dry food to a raw food intake. I did google the subject and i didnt find any cons to the raw food diet, plus, i never been comfortable with the dry food..
Anyone here feeds their dog raw food? i do leave in apartment building and we have carpet so i wont give him whole bones.
How can i transfer my dog to a raw diet food? should i do it right away or just add some raw ingredients to his food? My dog always liked veggies, like carrots and tomatoes. Does raw feeding gives dogs upset stomachs?

Yes there are lots of us that feed raw on here.
There are lots of sites to choose from and read and I would suggest you read as much as you can.
If you want to email me an email address I don’t mind sending you some stuff that a friend of mine wrote. That along with other research and a book by Tom Lonsdale should set you up.
Start by blending in from one to the other and start with just something basic like chicken for a week or so dwindling down the complete and upping the raw. Not the best way to change but the safest for their tummy. No I don’t find my dogs ever get upset stomachs, something they would get with kibble frequently.
Most of us on here feed prey drive so no veg, just meat, offal, fish, eggs & bones. Your dog will need some bone content and you may need to find an area and put an old rug down for him.
As said I am quite happy to send you some stuff to start reading.
Best of luck, and well done.
When a friend of mine started feeding raw to her dogs there was such a difference that her vet ended up ringing her to find out why she hadn’t been in. No need – healthy dogs.

Congratulations on deciding to feed your dog raw food. I have been feeding my dogs this way for over 15 years and believe raw food is their natural diet. I would introduce it gradually and suggest you read the book “Give your dog a bone” by Dr Ian Billinghurst which completely covers the subject on feeding your dog a raw diet.
