Can You Raw Feed Greyhounds?

I have a puggle and we raw feed her(give her raw meat and bones for dinner) We are thinking of getting a greyhound and we’re not sure if we can raw feed it. by the way this greyhound will be an X racing dog. We would get it from a greyhound racing track that is closing down. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Any dog will benefit from a raw diet. I have been feeding my 12 year old grey raw for over 2 years and there were dramatic improvements in her.
Size, breed and age do not determine whether a dog is a good candidate for raw feeding – they all are!

Yes you can.. Some greyhounds can take time to settle in to home life and may be fussy about their feed.. Just introduce the change gradually as too rapid a change can cause stomach upsets. I have two greys and feed raw meat with vegies and they do well on it. Just be conscious that a grey will need large bones as choking on small ones can be an issue. Raw chicken carcasses are a great favourite with my two. Too many bones can be dangerous too so use some discretion on the frequency. Maybe 2 or 3 time s week..

You can raw feed any dog! :)
Though I do know there is a special dry food formulated for greyhounds!
Chudley’s greyhound maintenence I believe it is called.
Edit: Raw feeding is much healthier for your dog than any wet or dry food. Yes you need to supervise them when eating but they do not need to eat bones ALL the time. They can have mince, heart, liver etc.
Never give a dog a cooked bone as it will splinter. Raw bones are perfectly find but keep an eye on your dog just incase.
I give my 3 dogs wet dry and raw. I would love to feed all raw but I have neither the space or the money to do so (one of my dogs is a large breed the other a giant).

Well heres some information i can give you.
    1. It’s not a good idea to give any of your dogs raw meat or cooked meat it all can cause splinters.
feeding your dogs regular dog food is your best bet. All this can kill injure your dogs. If they chomp up a whole bone your running to the vet in no time. Which will also waist tons of money. Its okay to get a second dog, Just don’t feed your dogs cooked meat or raw meat any longer. If you still wish to proceed feeding your dogs this thats not my choice but your better off just feeding both dogs regular dog food! Hope all this helped

I would suggest going to a library or AKC.com & do a little research about what greyhounds eat. I would say it’s okay to raw feed any dog once in a blue moon & mostly feed him/her dog food. good luck.
