I have read conflicting information about feeding our pets raw eggs. some think it can cause damage to their coats, and some think it can be extremely healthy for their coats! and then there are idiots out there who have no common sense that think protein is bad for carnivores.
anybody have any links or anything for more information i can read about?

You’ve read conflicting information as there are conflicting opinions.
Actually, the conflict is whether it can cause illness or not.
As to coats, you can give fish oil capsules which have the omega 3 & 6 and some have omega 9 as well.
my preference is to cook the eggs. That’s just my personal choice.
I can search for links for you but why? You can do that as well as I can and it’s easy for you to get links. BUT… you’ll find you get all the conflicting opinions.
What you NEED to do is make your own choice as I did and go with what YOU PERSONALLY ARE MOST COMFORTABLE WITH !
Only YOUR opinion counts when it comes to YOUR dog(s).
Also, talk to your own vet who assists you in caring for your dog. -!-
Some studies have shown that raw egg whites fed in excess can lead to biotin deficiencies. You can work around this by either a) lightly cooking the eggs b) only feeding a couple of raw eggs per week or c) feeding only the raw yolk and discarding the white (or cook up an egg white omelet for yourself).
Raw eggs are a natural, affordable, species-appropriate source of nutrients for dogs and cats. And yes, you very well might see some improvement in your pet’s coat after feeding her eggs on a regular basis.
There is a lot of mixed info out there! ;p
I think, if fed in moderation, it should be fine – but I sure wouldn’t feed them everyday.
I feed raw eggs, shell and all, about 2 times a week – sometimes no times a week if I don’ t have any on hand (i will only feed them free range, not store bought).
I never had a problem. I can’t say they help or harm my boy’s coats since they are on a raw diet anyway and look shiny and healthy all the time.
ETA – I’m curious as to why “bugi” copied my answer – idiot.

According to this:http://dogaware.com/dogfeeding.html#addf…
“Whole raw eggs are fine, as the yolks contain plenty of biotin to make up for what the raw egg whites destroy. One of the healthiest and easiest to add foods. “

i don’t think you should, like this article says, raw eggs might have salmonella.
i give mine raw eggs twice a week..
Be careful, healthy dose of salmonella there could be.
EDIT:
I don’t know why me and that other girl have got thumbs down, there is a medium risk that raw eggs have salmonella in them, thats why humans aren’t supposed eat them raw.
If humans aren’t supposed to eat them raw because of a disease, the same aplies for dogs!!!
Raw or cooked in ANY form……plain old completely USELESS waste of egg & money.
Eggs are neither “magic” NOR poisonous.
