Raw and cold carrot sticks are great for teething babies…as long as they don’t have any teeth yet. When they have teeth, they can bite off tiny chunks and choke on them.
So, if at ten months, your baby doesn’t have any teeth that have broken the surface of the gum, then I would give him/her one, after that though, no way. I’d give him/her cooked carrots that will be soft and mushy for them to swallow, but not raw ones.
I hope you can as my son was nibbling on these age six months! You’ve got me worried now, I always assumed it was fine! Well he’s 9 months old now and he’s lived to tell the tale so far lol but I won’t tell you it’s a definite yes as I haven’t actually read that anywhere! As for how long to store, as a rule I usually keep things in the fridge for him no more than 48 hours, but it could be longer, or even shorter, sorry I couldn’t be more help!
i wouldn’t recommend it… i personaly choke on carrots pretty often.. i dont no if its just me.. lol but if your son has teeth and your giving it to him to eat.. i would say no wait until he is bigger.. or puree it… if hes got no teeth and its for a teething purpose.. should be fine.. and feel good on his gums.. but i deffinatly dont reccomend raw carrots to a baby that small… try other fruits liek green peppers and tomatoes..some mashed peas
I think those would pose a choking hazard. He probably doesn’t have the teeth to really chew them up yet. It would be much better if they were cooked carrots.
not he is not old enough yet. even if he does have teeth then he probably doesn’t understand the concept of chewing up for all the way yet. so it would choke him.
