Unrepentant has never heard any correct info here, and they put info here, so I guess they are wrong too! :)
    -Dogs will get worms
    -They will get vicious
-Once they taste blood they will eat any alive thing
-Don’t ever feed a “pitbull” raw, because they will turn on you even faster
-Raw pork & fish cannot be fed
-Raw bones will kill your dog by splintering
    I feed raw too! :)

ETA> Chuckles, you heard that a dog’s head will *explode* if fed raw meat? Wow LOL. What a myth!

  2. creepyco says:

that raw feeding is the ONLY way a dog should be fed, and your dog will drop dead on the spot and turn inside out if you so much as think about feeding it anything else.
I agree raw food is important, but so is having a varied and balanced diet, as dogs are not just hunters/ carnivores, but also have always been scavengers.

  3. Pete F says:

Ive heard enough c**p here that just about covers every thing ive heard
    lol
The “people food” thing does have some aspect of truth however
this I think refers to things like chocolate (that is potentially toxic for dogs) and all the crud that our food is made with (additives & preservatives etc). And maybe this is directed at people that feed there dog, ‘left overs from the chippy’, and ‘ready meals’ and say things like “oh it won’t do him any harm”….. saying all that, most of the Commercial dog food is as bad as some of those things any way…. so which ever way you look at it Raw is probably the best way forward

  4. Another Planet says:

It’s natural. But it does have it’s down side. It gives them worms and that is not a myth.
Feeding dried food has more side effects. It causes kidney failure, cancer and auto immune diseases.
These things were not around before dried food was invented.
Dogs ate table scraps and lived to a ripe old age.
And that’s not a myth either.

  5. felixthe says:

“gives them a taste for blood” (similar to your aggressive myth)
“chicken bones will kill your dog”
“human food is bad for dogs”
“kibble is nutritionally balanced for dogs”

  6. iChuck says:

“But your dog will get salmonella and E.ecolli.”
“Raw meat will make yor dogs head explode.”
“If your dog eats blood, he will become a KILLER.”
    Stupid…little…myths…
Edit _ Seems like the TD fairy is out…

  7. kat says:

Every vet I have ever known has disagreed with raw feeding

  8. Miki says:

That “people food” is bad for dogs. As if humans are the only creatures that eat beef or chicken.

  9. UNREPENTANT RECIDIVIST :-P says:

I’ve never seen any correct info here.

  10. Rachel [K&T] says:
