How is the dog sick? I would doubt it is the eggs unless the dog is getting fed a lot of them. If a dog has too much of something it isn’t used to, it can cause digestive upset.
How long has the dog only been eating eggs? A dog needs to eat more than eggs to stay healthy, eggs alone will not give adequate nutrition. “Extras” should only be 10% of a dog’s diet maximum. High quality kibble or a raw diet should be the majority of what a dog eats. (“Extra” being a relative term; anything in addition to their regular diet. Some things that are “extra” to a kibble diet may be a regular part of a raw diet.)
If you don’t know what is causing the sickness, it’s best to see a vet. Also, if the dog is acting strange, like a normally active dog suddenly being lethargic, see a vet.

I’m not saying it’s impossible, just unlikely. Even as a human, my family and I have eaten raw eggs all our lives (in the form of cookie dough, cake batter, breakfast drinks with eggs, etc.) and have yet to get sick from them.

I starred this for the raw feeders because the normally feed their dogs whole raw eggs, without problems.
How exactly is your dog sick? Maybe the dog just isn’t used to such a rich diet? It could be something else though, so if he doesn’t feel better soon, go to the vet.

Raw eggs are healthier for the dog than the dog food is. Tell your friend to look into a raw diet.
add: Hold up, I just read this again. How is eating a raw egg different than feeding it to a dog. If you guys eat them raw then the dog is definitely fine. My dog loves to play with whole eggs before breaking the shell and eating them.

Raw eggs are good for dogs shells and all. The dog just likes them better than dogfood, so he won’t eat the dog food.

LOL he prefers the eggs then!!
Seriously, raw eggs are good for dogs but I wouldn’t feed them everyday, a couple of times a week would be fine. Too many and it stops them absorbing a certain nutrient from other foods properly.
I recommend a properly done raw diet (which includes raw eggs) There are lots of past questions/answers here and yahoo groups that you can look up to get loads of info on it.
