I’ve been looking into raw diet for my dog and was wondering if giving my dog some raw meat would make him sick or if it would be healthy? If I ate some raw food I would get sick…Wouldn’t my dog?

I mean, humans have to cook meat because… I guess because the human body can’t stand eating it the way it usually is… I dunno.
But most carnivores (well, actually all carnivores but humans) can eat meat raw, so would it be the same for dogs too?
I’m assuming dogs were meant to be carnivores because of their ancestors. But maybe they’re actually omnivores?

I keep hearing so many stories, both good and bad about a raw diet for my dog. I am just wondering if anyone actually does feed there dog raw meat and if so what are to pro’s and con’s??? Has anyone ever gotten sick from feeding it to thier dog?

I have a lab retriever.
She’s old, but not…shall we say…geriatric.
She’s been sick lately. Not infection kind of sick, but….unhealthy, you know? I went to college and nobody in my family would take her for walks or play with her. She’s been eating a lot of grass and her bowel movements, etc. aren’t regular. They also didn’t feed her correctly, just putting food in her bowl whenever they wanted instead of keeping her on a regular, monitored schedule.
Anyway, I just ate steak for dinner and it was a little rare. I was going to give her the ultra rare parts. Do you think that would mess her up?

I am wanting to feed my staff raw meat. i need to now how much it would cost (per week) and how much i should feed her on a daily basis and what is the cheapest bit of meat on the bone i could get from the butchers.
She is a 4 year old female staff if that helps how much i should feed her and any good tips of keeping the meat and serving it to her i.e (should i chop it up).
My mum says feeding the dog raw meat will make her blood thirsty i don’t think that is true but will it?

we have half a pig in our freezer (cut up and ready to cook)
and i was wondering if i could give my dog some of the bones that still have meat on it……is it ok for her to eat it raw and frozen??

My dog has often come inside from our backyard smelling like raw meat, and on a few occasions had blood on her fur. Today she came back inside smelling like fish. There is a shop next door that also has a butcher area in the back, and my mother and I both think they are feeding her their scraps/garbage. I’ll be putting up a sign and hopefully my mom will go talk to them. If they continue to do this, can we report them? It seems unsanitary and unsafe because I don’t know where their meat comes from or how old it is. If you have any other suggestions please let me know! Thanks
