Raw Feeders.. Quick Question…?

Does anyone know if there have been any studies about using whole carcass rats rather then say rabbit as a meat source?
I was just curious as I was browsing around looking for snake food and wondered if anyone used rat carcass for raw feeding either cats or dogs.. Please include any links you have as I can’t find anything on the subject..
To anyone who’s anti-raw feeding-
I’ve already researched raw feeding and after comparing it to the crud that goes into commercial diets I think the small risk of my pet getting something like E. coli to be much less terrible then the kidney disease and urinary tract illnesses caused by commercial foods.. I personally eat plenty of raw meats without having ever caught any kind of illness from it.. I’d rather have my pet perhaps on rare occasion get a bit of diarrhea rather then die from mold toxins or melamine..

When I was feeding my cats this morning, I noticed something unusual in the can. Veggies! Like, chunks of potato, tomato and peas.
Cats are obligate carnivores and are not designed to eat fruits and veggies, but yet it’s in every bag of food out there. When will the companies get that cats need lots of meat and no fruits and veggies?
Also, anyone have experience with switching a cat to a raw diet? Thanks!

I’ve been feeding my two cats raw meat ever since they were kittens well not really giving them raw meat as in young kittens but canned food and treats. After they got a little older I started giving them raw meat (beef) and I’m starting to think if this nutritional or not.

Should I?
At this time, I feed them Wellness Canned Formula. I’m really happy with it because it’s grain-free and has excellent ingredients, and they love it! I also occasionally feed them Orijen, which is one of the best dry cat foods.

We have always given our cats and dogs a little raw meat every day along with a high quality dry pet food. We would like to explore switching over to it completely, but it sounds like a lot of work and I worry about leaving something out they need. Do you have any recipes you could share and helpful hints to make it less troublesome?

I’ve noticed that several cat owners are feeding their cats raw meat that they order online. Apparently, it’s very good, healthy, and works well as treats too.
Does anyone know a site where I could order organic raw meat? Could be by the pieces, or as whole. Could be chicken, rabbit, etc.

Do you feed your cats a raw diet?
What needs to be in a raw diet to make sure that the cat gets everything it needs? What do you put in your cats food when you feed them raw?
I’m feeding my 3 cats wellness right now. It’s about $2.00 for a 12.5oz can. Between the 3 of them, I feed them one can of the 12.5 oz per day.
I know Wellness is an excellent food but is feeding a raw diet even better then that? Is it more expensive to feed a raw diet?
