How Many Times Per Day Should I Feed My 11wk Old/2yr Old Poms On The Raw Food Diet?

Should I feed the at separate times also? My little one likes to hog the bowl. Does it take the same amount of time to work it’s way through the body as regular dry kibble since raw food is supposed to be absorbed more into he dogs body?

Im Feeding My Daschund Evo Dry, Thinking About Switching To Raw Diet-primal Dog Food. Good Or Bad? Help?

I have two dachshunds and have one on Nature’s Variety Raw and it is great, I put her on it because of allergies and it has helped and she loves it so much. Raw is a lot different from kibble and it is a lot better for dogs as it is much more natural. See every single piece of kibble is perfectly balanced and that is not natural in the wild they would eat different things that would balance out in the long run, which is better, raw is also more benefitial in terms of their teeth and overall health since there is not as many additives, If you have an other questions about raw let me know I would be glad to answer them

Is A Complete Raw Diet, The Best For My 2 Year Old Dog? Is It Better Then Kibble?

I want to start him on a complete raw food diet after finding out he has allergies. The vet recommends Science Diet, but I notice that his allergies only get worse , he throws up after his morning feeding, he bites at his paws and he has been gaining weight. Has anyone tried the raw food diet? Does it really work, any good recipe ideas and guidelines?

What Raw Meat Treats Can I Give My Golden Retriver?

I was wondering what raw meat treats i can give my dog to supplement his diet? I am going to be feeding diamond naturals kibble, but i would like to give him some raw on the side just as treats a few times a week to supplement his diet. I have heard chicken wings are a great start for puppies. Anything else? Now he is only three months old. Also what can i give when he is older? I do not want to cause issues or diahrrea. Is there anything specific i should not give a golden retriever? Thanks

Why Do Raw Feeders Claim Difference In Digestive Rates When Mixing Kibble When Skin/bone Digests Differently?

I think and after much research I am beginning to believe these fanatical raw feeders have many false logical statements. 1] they say don’t feed kibble w/raw because different digestive rates. I ask Doesn’t skin/bone/flesh digest at diff rates?They NEVER ANSWERED.
then they say Dogs are carnivores. BS I say, any wolf in the wild would eat pizza if it were available. OF COURSE. These raw feeding fanatics need to justify their position. By the way, I feed my dog raw, and raw chicken bones DO SPLINT!

Question To Raw Feeders….?

So I’ve been researching raw feeding lately and ended up buying a product by The Honest Kitchen called “Keen”, which is dehydrated raw food and my dogs love it. I really want to get my dogs completely off of commercial food but I’ve been a little resistant, probably a little afraid of the unknown, and just used to feeding kibble for so many years. But tonight I’m going to take the plunge and go for it.
I’ve read that it’s best to pick something and stick with it for about a week when you are first starting, so that your dog’s system gets a chance to adjust. So the question is this-
Is something like chicken drumsticks with a little bit of liver or some other organ meat OK to give for their first totally raw meal?
I hope that after their meal tonight I can relax about it and that it’ll become second nature to feed my dogs this way.

Is It Better To Feed My Puppy Raw Meat And Bones Or Dry Puppy Kibble?

I have a 9 week old Labrador Retriever. I have just come back from the vets for her first visit.
He said I should feed her raw meat and bones and not puppy food. He said to go to a butchers and to ask for any scraps and feed her that.
I just wanted to know if anyone feeds their puppy this rather than the dry dog food and your opinions on whether it is the best thing for her.

Is Feeding A Dog Raw Chicken Ok?? I Worry About Salmonella Bacteria.?

Yes it is okay to feed them raw chicken; many show breeders feed what is known as a BARF diet; which consists of raw food; particulary chicken.
I don’t myself feed a BARF diet; except for an occasional satin ball (which is raw hamburger meat mixed with a variety of nutrients). I DO feed mine COOKED chicken with no worries about the bones for my dogs; of course the younger and smaller ones get the bones REMOVED but the large breeds get the whole piece of chicken and I’ve never had a problem with the bones splintering.
Most Dog Food really isn’t all that good for your dog anyways; if you really read the labels and understand what you are reading; most of the nutrients are zapped out of the original food and what little if any meat in there is usually just a ground up by product such as necks; innards; etc. But there are some really good dog foods out there that are a little pricey that are made from oven baked dry kibble and then coated in ground up raw meat.
