There are many things to learn about when it comes to nutrition. But the basic concept is “What goes in must come out.” Your body is like a machine it takes what it needs from what you feed it and gets rid of the rest by urine and the bowels.If you notice you have a problem about elimination, you should take it seriously, go see a doctor. Many people have this problem. Don’t be shy or anything, it can be very serous to your health. The first step, is finding out if there even is a problem. First you should see how many bowel movements you have daily (BM). If you have one per day it’s not a problem, however it is better to have 2 to 3 BM’s a day and more if you eat more often. But if you find you are having one per week or 2 per month, then you have a serious problem.For some people they might say they don’t find the time. The reason could be they are out all day and would prefer to have their BM at home rather then a public bathroom. But let me tell you, you will keep your colon quite happy if you go several times for the day. If you are looking for a trick it would be to eat a lot of raw fruits and vegetables, steamed beets and using digestive enzymes with your meals. Do whatever you can; it will be beneficial to you. I have just lightly touched on the subject, but if you have a problem you should consult a doctor and seek help. Because this problem is not good for your health, take care of it today and look forward to tomorrow. May you live a healthy and prosper life.

Does Anyone Feed Their Cat A Raw Food Diet? My Girl Has Digestive Problems(frequent Diarrhea)?

She’s been to the vet a lot & she (the vet) doesn’t think the cat is seriously ill. She thinks it may be irritable bowel syndrome. Right now kitty is on Hills ID prescription food. She seems better on this food, but they say it should only be fed short term & she’s been on it 3 mos. Also, it contains a lot of bad ingredient including corn gluten & chicken bi-products YUK My vet doesn’t seem at all knowledgeable about food. I’m planning on going to a holistic vet, but wanted to get input from members who feed the raw food diet. Thanks!

Any Raw Feeders Out There…?

I’m interested in raw feeding and I’ve done a bit of research: i was wondering if there were any raw feeders out there to answer a few questions i had….
1) What do you feed and where do you get it?
I saw stuff about chicken necks, back, wings… then more mention of beef and other stuff like fish. Sounds like a lot… Is there a site out there with a simple list of meats to feed? And where would i get some of the stuff?
2) How much to feed?
On the leerburg site they had an equation thing to tell how much to feed (or about how much) and it came out for me as feeding less than a pound of food (about .34-.51) to my dog (who is 17 lbs.) Is that correct?
3) How did you transition?
Again, on the leerburg site they said for a healthy adult you can go “cold turkey” and fast for a day then feed raw. Is that a good idea?
4) How much did it cost you compared to a high quality kibble?
I feed wellness ocean at $13/4lb bag, which is gone in less than a month. Would raw feeding be much more expensive?
5) Can you store stuff?
Like if i buy in bulk, can i mix a weeks worth and store it in a fridge or freezer? Or can i store the food itself and mix it by day?
6) What changes did you notice in your dog?
7) I know vets don’t like raw feeding, should i find one that DOES or should i just stay with the one i have (who is very nice, helpful… both of my dog go/went to him and he hasn’t led me astray yet?)
MUST i add supplements, and if so which ones?
The Leerburg site was VERY helpful but i wanted to hear from actual raw feeders. Maybe even see if anyone knew some good websites with easy to follow info and instructions.

What Books Would Be Helpful For Raising A Fennec Fox?

I’m looking for books for information on diet and basic care. I know there isn’t a lot that is specific to Fennec Foxes because they are rare, but are there any great books on raw feeding or wild animal care?

Im Feeding My Daschund Evo Dry, Thinking About Switching To Raw Diet-primal Dog Food. Good Or Bad? Help?

I have two dachshunds and have one on Nature’s Variety Raw and it is great, I put her on it because of allergies and it has helped and she loves it so much. Raw is a lot different from kibble and it is a lot better for dogs as it is much more natural. See every single piece of kibble is perfectly balanced and that is not natural in the wild they would eat different things that would balance out in the long run, which is better, raw is also more benefitial in terms of their teeth and overall health since there is not as many additives, If you have an other questions about raw let me know I would be glad to answer them

I Have A Question For The Raw Feeders…………?

In Raw feeding, the whole carcass is used as in the whole Rabbit with heart and liver,Lungs (?) but isn’t something important missing like the guts and stomach contents? Wouldn’t some of this be consumed in the wild, or is a lot of green tripe given to fill this gap in nutrition? I see the distinction between Raw and BARF this kind of being the bone of distinction. Raw Meat/veggie Feeding For Cats And Dogs… Need Recipes And Suggestions?

We have always given our cats and dogs a little raw meat every day along with a high quality dry pet food. We would like to explore switching over to it completely, but it sounds like a lot of work and I worry about leaving something out they need. Do you have any recipes you could share and helpful hints to make it less troublesome?

Opinions On Feeding A Raw Diet?

I see a lot of food questions on here. I think a raw, species-appropriate diet consisting of meat, bones, and organs is the absolute best way to feed any dog since they are carnivores; merely domesticated wolves in designer clothing. Also, I don’t think a raw diet should contain any amount of fruits, vegetables, or grains since these are species-inappropriate foods and while small amounts of these probably wouldn’t hurt a dog, I think they are unnecessary. Some will argue that dogs consume the partially digested leftover fruits, veggies, etc in the intestines of their prey but that’s a myth. A lot of people feel the same way I do, but a lot also strongly oppose this method. Do you agree or disagree? Provide evidence/opinions for your thoughts.

Question About Feeding Dogs Raw Meat!!!?

i have been doing a lot of research about raw meat and i am in the process of switching my dogs over to raw meat and i have been many different things about how much i should feed my dogs a day…i have been told 3 percent of the body weight…my boxer weight 65 pounds so it would be like 2 pounds a day or so….
please dont answer unless ur going to give an ligit answer dont give me some stupid stuff…
