My dog had some mild tartar on some of his teeth and after one turkey neck that he chewed on for a while, I saw a big difference. Is this normal? I know raw bones clean teeth well but is it normal to see a difference after only one day?

Vet And Raw Bones !?!?

I have just read a posting in which one person said that “No vet recommends the feeding of bones” and another that “Their vet had told them not to feed bones of any sort”. Is there anyone out there who has actually been told this rubbish by a vet – not a vet tech but a VET? And if so has the next statement from the supposed health care practitioner been in regards to charging hundreds of dollars for teeth cleaning or recommending the brand of food that they receive high commissions on?

I have two dachshunds and have one on Nature’s Variety Raw and it is great, I put her on it because of allergies and it has helped and she loves it so much. Raw is a lot different from kibble and it is a lot better for dogs as it is much more natural. See every single piece of kibble is perfectly balanced and that is not natural in the wild they would eat different things that would balance out in the long run, which is better, raw is also more benefitial in terms of their teeth and overall health since there is not as many additives, If you have an other questions about raw let me know I would be glad to answer them

Do Dogs Who Eat A Raw Diet Have Good Breath?

I just started my dog on RAW food. He does not have problems with his teeth and he has normal breath, not offensive, just normal for a dog. But wondering, those dogs feeding on RAW for a long time, does their breath not smell at all? Or is it fresh? Or just non-odor at all.

Thinking About Putting My Dog On Raw?

My main concern is though, that with toy breeds they are prone to “mush mouth” and eating soft foods all the time can cause it. Mÿ mother-in-laws Maltese has mush mouth because of soft food, her teeth are falling out, her breath stinks, its just horrible. If I’m not feeding my dog a dry kibble because I’m feeding raw, how do I avoid mush mouth?

At What Age Is The Right Age To Give Your Toddler Raw Carrots?

My child is 20 months old (almost 21 months old) and has all of her teeth. She refuses to eat cooked carrots. I read a study that said most kids will not eat cooked carrots but love raw baby carrots. Is my child too young for those types of food? I want her to eat healthy and carrots are known for great eye development. At what age did you start feeding your toddler raw baby carrots???

For Those Of You Feeding Raw….i Have A Question.?

I am going to be switching my three dogs over to raw. My question is…..my bullmastiff swallows things whole…..like pig ears…..if he can fit it in his mouth, it will go down whole. Would it be best if I ground the chicken parts up then gave them to him. I know he won’t get the benefit of chomping on the bone to clean his teeth but he gets bully sticks and other hard things for that.
What are your thoughts? What about when I give him other bones, like rib, lamb, beef bones etc (when the time comes)?

Why Do Some Breeders Recommend Raw Feeding (high Protein) But Not High Protein Kibble?

I’ve heard of many breeders recommending raw (which is pretty high in protein) but not wanting dogs to eat high protein grain free kibble because of the protein levels?
Can someone explain this to me?
I’m not talking about good for teeth, or cheaper, or whatever, just the protein level.
